Coastal Spine and Pain Center Announces New San Pablo Location to Serve Midtown and Beaches

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., February 1, 2022 – Coastal Spine and Pain Center (CSPC) announces the opening of a new location February 1, 2022 in Jacksonville, Fla. Located in the San Pablo area, this new location services the Town Center/Midtown and Beaches communities for the latest advancements in pain management.

Coastal Spine and Pain Center offers premier management and treatment for chronic and acute pain and medical conditions with associated pain. The board-certified providers and surgeons at CSPC treat patients with a preference for minimally invasive procedures that are proven and approved. Centers are located as far north as St. Marys, Georgia, as far west as Lake City and as far south as Middleburg, Florida. Now, with the addition of the San Pablo practice, there is quality care for patients suffering with pain anywhere in Northeast Florida/Southeast Georgia.

San Pablo’s Coastal Spine and Pain Center’s lead physician is Christopher Neztel, M.D. Dr. Netzel is board certified in pain medicine and anesthesiology. Before joining Coastal Spine and Pain Center, Dr. Netzel was an interventional pain management physician at SSM Health in Madison, Wisconsin. His qualifications as an interventional pain management specialist include authoring guidelines for dorsal root ganglion stimulation. He was also active in researching the outcome of preoperative opioid use and outcome after spinal surgery as well as the effect that metabolic syndrome has on the anesthesia process. Dr. Netzel earned his doctorate degree with University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison in 2014. He completed his medical residency in anesthesiology at University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics in Madison, and completed a fellowship in Pain Medicine at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Netzel also sees patients at Coastal Spine and Pain Center’s Riverside location.

Andrew (Andy) Green, ARNP joins Dr. Netzel at the San Pablo Center where he will continue to see patients, having been a provider with Coastal Spine for more than a decade. Green is a board certified advanced registered nurse practitioner with extensive experience in medical- surgical nursing, wound care, emergency room care, as a stroke coordinator, and in urgent care. He earned his Master of Science in Nursing in Family and Adult Acute Care from the
University of South Alabama and is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.

“I am eager to serve patients at our new San Pablo location,” said Dr. Netzel. “Together with Andrew Green, who has provided care for many years to our patients, we will offer the same range and quality of treatments that patients expect to receive from our other Coastal Spine and Pain Centers.”
