Allison Fries is board certified physician assistant. She earned her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from South University in Tampa, Florida, after receiving a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Sports Studies with minors in chemistry and biology from Florida State University.
Before joining Coastal Spine and Pain Center, Fries served in emergency departments for HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital and Memorial Hospital of Jacksonville, where she also was the Chief Physician Assistant and a peer mentor.
Fries brings more than 20 years of experience in trauma care, recognizing and prioritizing the evaluation, stabilization and management of medical emergencies, and treating critically ill patients. She is proficient in medical interventions and procedures including, but not limited to: laceration repair, incision and drainage of abscesses to relieve pain, and digital nerve block procedures. During the pandemic, Fries worked in telemedicine, enhancing listening skills and long-distance diagnostic practices.
She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants.
