Renee Gallo, M.D. joins Coastal Spine and Pain Center after completing her fellowship in pain medicine from the University of Florida, Gainesville.
Prior to joining Coastal, Dr. Gallo served as a leader and teacher in her residency and fellowship programs at the University of Florida’s College of Medicine. During her years at UF, she served as Recruitment Chief Resident for the UF Anesthesiology department, an executive board member for the College of Medicine, as well as a medical student representative for Medical Economics, Subcommittee on Patient Safety and Quality Improvement. She prepared lectures and workshops for their Resident as Teacher program, interacting with medical students and other residents. Other teaching opportunities included instructing children with physical and mental disabilities on how to adapt their conditions to an aquatic environment, and providing physical therapy to children with musculoskeletal disabilities.
Dr. Gallo is a member of the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, the American Society of Anesthesia and the American Medical Association. She participated in an eight-day medical mission trip as part of Health and Education Relief for Guyana and volunteered at the Equal Access Clinic providing primary medical care to the underserved population of Gainesville, Florida.
Dr. Gallo received her undergraduate degree in food science and human nutrition, graduating magna cum laude from the University of Florida. She has also had several articles published including two published on an anesthesiology mobile application.
