Steven Rizzolo, M.D. is a board certified orthopedic spine surgeon and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Rizzolo completed his surgical internship from Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His orthopedic surgery residency was performed at Thomas Jefferson University affiliated hospitals and his spine fellowship was conducted at Thomas Jefferson University and Pennsylvania Hospital, all in Philadelphia. He is a founding member of the Paul Nemir Jr. Surgical Foundation and a member of Jefferson Orthopedic Society, Montana Medical Association, American Spinal Injury Association, Cervical Spine Research Society, North American Spine Society and the Western Orthopedic Association.
For more than 30 years, Dr. Rizzolo has contributed and presented on a multitude of scientific videos, exhibits, videos and publications, educating on spinal issues, techniques and surgical developments. Prior to joining Coastal Spine and Pain Center, Dr. Rizzolo was at an orthopedic center in Arizona, but has spent the majority of his practicing career in Montana. He is board certified in orthopedic surgery under the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
