Todd Wurtz is a physician assistant with Coastal Spine and Pain Center. He has extensive experience in emergency medicine, most recently serving locally as an emergency room physician assistant at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Orange Park and Memorial Hospitals. Before moving to Jacksonville, Wurtz was a research coordinator at Johns Hopkins Department of Emergency Medicine. He also served in the US Army 34th Medical Battalion in Ft. Benning, Ga. with the UH-60 Helicopter Med-Evac Unit Crew. He’s received an Army Humanitarian Service Medal, an Army Achievement Medal, is an Army Distinguished Honor Graduate, and served as a crew member for Vice-President Dan Quayle. Wurtz also is certified in: basic life support and first aid, advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support, combat life support and water safety. Wurtz holds a private pilot’s license and is a graduate of the US Army’s Airborne School and Air Assault training. Wurtz currently volunteers at the Master Mason FA&M Mandarin Lodge 343.
