Tyler Mattingly, D.O. is board certified in anesthesiology. He obtained his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree and his Master of Science degree both from The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). He was inducted into the Sigma Sigma Phi honor society while at PCOM, due to his academic success. Prior to that, he completed his Bachelor of Science degree where he studied Medical Laboratory Science at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky graduating Cum Laude.
He completed his residency training in anesthesiology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester. He then went on to pursue a highly competitive Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. During residency, he demonstrated exceptional knowledge, skills and courage while serving during the entirety of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Dr. Mattingly gained interest in the field of pain medicine after suffering a herniated disc from a high school football injury which required lumbar surgery at eighteen years old. He then had subsequent epidural steroid injections combined with physical therapy that allowed him to play four years of division one lacrosse in college. This is where Dr. Mattingly has acquired his multi-disciplinary team approach while integrating a focus on quality of life for his pain management treatment plans.
Dr. Mattingly is a member of the The American Board of Anesthesiology. He is certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. He maintains an active presence in the medical community and is committed to providing the highest quality care to his patients.
